This year was insane for girl groups, with 5 of the top 10 spots being occupied by GGs, and the frontrunner NewJeans crossing a massive 4 billion digital point mark.
Personally im happy for stayc, teddy bear is their biggest hit. it outlasted asap on melon charts today and based on the rankings, it will rank higher than asap on the yearly charts too. bubble + poppy also did well on the charts so i feel like their company will stick to the bubbly, upbeat music for the time being even though a lot of fans want the so bad/run2u sound again. ideally i am hoping for both sides to get a single for their next comeback (would also be nice if they got their first #1 too).
Overall, multi stan gg fans are truly eating well for the second consecutive year. Can't wait for their comebacks again next year.
