"Today, the word “epic" is an adjective that means something like “big, grandiose, extreme,” or “awesome.” It’s usually used for positive qualities, but it can also be employed to indicate intensity"

    Which one is your favorite?

    UPDATED LIST

Ok after much thought & consideration the only criteria now is if it's a good song to listen while u defeat the last boss in a videogame or is abt to do the most difficult task in your life

  • Aespa - Savage is the only one that can truly be called "epic" imo. The instrumental during the pre choruses sounds like the background music of a sci fi movie with like a robot invasion going on. And the bridge is just epic

Maybe First could qualify for "epic" too. That intro is kinda epic, the bridge and outro too. Then maybe Lion for that bridge rap

  • Newjeans Hype boy

    5050 Cupid

    ITZY Wannabe/Dalla Dalla

    Should consider these for addition

    What's epic about these? ;(

    Epic # girl crush

I think the difference is that these songs are all about self esteem and confidence but not really about something big and transcendental like I feel the other songs are, aside maybe Adios. When someone says epic I think about songs that remind me of some crazy symphonic opera, not about empowering lyrics although it can be both. But that's a personal opinion, I'll think about it

babe le seerafim antifragile mv literally had a meteor crash into earth please add that for epic mv ;(

Love this song but to me it's just typical girl crush, not epic ;(

    Not in that list but

shoot! — EVERGLOW ― LA DI DA MV

I'm not sure abt this one yet but it will be in the consideration list

All of the songs I mentioned remind me of grandiose and epical events that's why theyre on the list but I understand your vision, Savage and First totally have more fierce instrumental. I'd say First is a little more epic than Savage because the chprus of the latter is a bit of a let down

  • I kind of was thinking more about the music video and eventually + choreo intensity + if it was a banger in Korea or not

  • What's epic about these? ;(

    Epic # girl crush

Oh I think I missed the point of thread entirely...I thought we were talking about 4th gen songs that hit big and are likely to remembered in future. :pepe-clown-gear:

It was about the omph factor of the songs

I wanna redo the poll (T_T)/

Well then I can think of some skz and ateez songs But Nmixx Tank should be here- I will never shut up about lily's part, there is no other song in kpop that has anything eerie and alluring as this, also I do think it fits your criteria of a sound thats

    something big and transcendental

Ohhh I see it's totally different from what I had in mind, I was thinking more about how epic the song sound in specific, like I'm about to defeat the last boss in a videogame or something

lmao no problem, I totally see Ateez fitting the criteria omg, 100% will add them to the list

I only remembered the fishyfishy part in tank, will listen to it later today

TXT has to be Cat & Dog or Blue Hour

    Queencard anyone?

I only member the suri suri part tbh will have to listen these songs again

Queencard is totally not what I had in my mind when I thought Epic but well I guess it fits the criteria? I'm not sure if I should add, will wait to see if more ppl agree

  • All of the songs I mentioned remind me of grandiose and epical events that's why theyre on the list but I understand your vision, Savage and First totally have more fierce instrumental. I'd say First is a little more epic than Savage because the chprus of the latter is a bit of a let down

Oh okay I guess I didn't really understand the thread lol

And yeah I agree that the chorus of Savage damages the overall epicness of the song. But I grew to like it because the instrumental behind it is actually more complex than it seems to be at first, and every chorus a new layer is added to the instrumental which makes it very interesting to me
