It’s an established webtoon people have expectations on how the characters should look and the vibe they should give. All the casting choices so far have been unbearably bad and do not seem to fit the vibe and expectations of any of the fans.

as ORV reader personally i think lee minho doesn't have any place in main cast beside maybeeee being one of lower gods? or maybe goblins if we don't care about webtoon imagery at all? lee joonghyuk are supposed to be this rough-ish man dealing with battle all his life, lee minho's face looks too posh for him

i don't have problem with an hyoseop, he is believable as kim dokja

ORV got so many characters that come and go though, so i actually assume we'll see many cameo in jisoo level of fame even before cast announcement

This is false. There were some questions about the wigs and styling but casting was praised and loved from the beginning.

Casting for ORV has been received completely negative with no comparison to one piece at all.

Everyone knew from the start that oda was directly involved with the one piece casting and development. So no one was really worried. like at all. Everyone here is questioning if anyone even read the webtoon in this adaptation.

Mate all I know is that I still need to fucking finish the novel. also like someone pointed out please don't let the genre change to romance .

I'm more worried about how are they going to explain the story in a 90 min to 3 hour movie? I feel like they are gonna skip a lot of imp stuff in the plot which is gonna confuse a lot of people who haven't read the web novel or webtoon.

I honestly disliked Lee Minho's casting the most. He looks too old for his character. Jisoo should've also been casted as Sangah Yu or someone like that instead. That Hyoseop guy seems fine to be cast as Dokja but overall I think the casting team could've done better.
