I also prefer Rainy Days! Not just you.
Love the instrumental - its composition is so quirky - and then his husky voice just complements it, layering upon it and giving such a warm vibe. It's not the Love Me Again is bad, but it's just doesn't have the dimension Rainy Days has to me.

I was 50-50 at first with both 'Love Me Again' & 'Rainy Days' but I have noticed that I'm going back to 'Rainy Days' more lately than 'Love Me Again'. I still love his vocals on 'Love Me Again' more but 'Rainy Days' is just my type of song. And even the lyrics are so apt for a rainy day. They totally represent what I would be thinking on such a day so more relatable too I guess...
