How to deal with period cramps
-
-
Take a pain reliever. Advil, ibuprofen, etc.
-
-
Step one: midol.
Step two: if you can't do midol, can you do paracetamol or another pain reliever?
Step three: hot water bottle
Step four: Doctor. This is the one you have to do, even if the other three work. If you're having pains that badly, you could have PCOS or something that could be solved with proper treatment, so get thee to a physician afterward and get checked out, this doesn't have to be something you endure. Sometimes things like birth control pills can help, or IUDs. So don't sit on the doctor's appointment, go sign up for one and have a chat with someone who can help.

Pills, heat, curling into a ball and wishing for sweet death, and avoid italian food and oregano
-
I struggled with strong cramps when it started. Was getting pretty ugly. I went to my gyn and got 'the pill' for it, because it was also really irregular.
Heat is a great relief. I use a hot water bottle. Not too hot though. Also avoid cold drinks or foods like ice cream. I usually also take supplements with magnesium when I know that Auntie Pink is close, because it prevends cramps. Don't curl up during a cramp. I know it hurts and you want to become a ball, but try to stretch yourself a bit, as this helps to ease the tension faster. I also massage my lower body with my finger tips for relief.
I hate pain meds, so I don't take them.
