    The song is viral by its own but it was promoted at first by TikTok which must've done that through YG influence or money. It would be wise for other agencies to also wise up on it.

    We all know how the American music industry tries to gatekeep their industry against too much outside influence, so the lack of radio for a song that does so well globally just means, once again, that they're not following trends but try to dictate them.

And i've been up and down in bts threads talking about remixes impact, etc. The song wouldn't get viral on TT without having legs to stand on so I'm not discrediting Jisoo and YG producers work. It's a hit. If anything I wish BH would do promo like this and not waste time on US late time performance/interviews.

    Trust me, we always get reminded of anything we supposedly did get or didn't get, but I for one don't care if labels promote their songs.


    Kpop is still fighting an uphill battle against Western artists that get huge advantages in radio, playlisting etc in their own big music industries while still expecting to be welcomed with open arms abroad, so I always love it when a Kpop song makes it big.


    The moment Kpop fans realize that their biggest enemy isn't other Kpop groups, especially on a global scale, but the gatekeeping against Kpop in the Western world and especially the biggest music industry that gives very blatant advantages (radio counts for charts and radio ignores Kpop almost completely) is the moment we can work together and support each other.


    Yeah, I know that isn't likely to happen because of all the dumb fanwars between Kpop fandoms, but one can dream. :music-raccoon:

    btw I double checked I'm seeing what certain fandom is calling it YG's promo but it seems more like brands using Jisoo's audio for promo if anything this shows the song being more popular since it was getting covered since the song was released
