Do you care about lyrics?

I think people who don't speak Korean focus more on the MV and performance because we don't understand the lyrics without translations. But actually, the lyrics are probably a more important part of the song than the dance and MV. It must be similar to reading an untranslated manga, where you can understand the pictures but not the words. And in some cases the story is simple and common enough that you can infer most of it from only the pictures (e.g. love story, sad story, a well-worn concept), but in most cases it won't be completely generic, and you won't be able to guess what is going on without a text translation. So I think knowing the lyrics are important because without them, then there are risks: you might not understand what the song is about, or you might only understand the big picture and not any of the nuances (and I guess you would understand even better if you actually speak Korean, and don't have an imperfect translation).
I admit a lot of the time I don't care about them, or find them to not add much to the song (because they are too generic or just uninteresting to me). Well of course it is hit or miss (interesting or not interesting) but you know I think I should read them first and then see if I care, I think it is bad to just ignore them, because most of the time they may be uninteresting, but then if you ignore them you might miss something interesting (Much like music releases by random bands you don't know/b sides of groups)
I guess it would be the same with English songs, sometimes the lyrics really elevate the song, and other times they're just acceptable, and rarely they might ruin the song. But it would be nice to at least know them, then you decide whether you like them or care about them or not.

Not really, but it can be off putting if there are really cringey english lryics in the song

I care a lot about lyrics, even more than the actual music. It’s why I like BTS and have a hard time getting into other kpop groups. The lyrics of most Kpop songs make me want to vomit. It also kills brain cells. Which is why I feel so much dumber since I started listening to kpop. My standards have also fallen a lot.
