What's the point of even having solos and sub units anymore when it is not in any way different?

It's not always linked to the music itself
An artist can still do the same music than he's doing with his group but just want to express the song with a different concept and in a different way
The best example i have in Mind if T-ara and T-ara N4
T-ara N4 still use this very electronic sound, dubstep that T-ara use in a lot of their song number 9, sugar free etc...
But they express it with an image and concept that i would never imagine T-ara do, like i can't imagine T-ara as a whole do a MV about them living in the countryside etc...
Just because they always had a very feminine, classy, sexy image
And i don't see their company make them give up on this image as a group just for a song
