Although her crappy overdone patented vocal phrasing does try to creep through at the end of some lines, Rose's vocals in "Gone" seem more authentic because you can feel a little ache in it. Having pretty vocals, or rather "pretty" vocals is a detriment. My music teacher once told me, Anything that is pretty is an antidote to real music.
I'm not a fan of the song, but for most of "Gone," you can sense this is more of her authentic voice.
