But in reality they aren't they entertain us and occasionally make us happy in the moment that's about it.

If one passes it's a mournful moment but life goes on without a hickup. A farmer dies? That is the end of the world for some people as a significant group of people relied on them for food. Same with doctor's nurse's and emergency service lose them and the affect is immediate and immense on the society. The "forgettable" people in society are the one's that are most important, you don't think about them until you need them. = House on fire? Omg where's the firemen. Dying? Where's the doctor and ems? Empty shelves? Where's the farmers?
