Why don't Japanese releases get more attention internationally?

    Kep1er just released I do! Do you? and I think it's a great song with fun vocals and a groovy base. Stayc's Poppy is also a great Japanese release.


    My question is why Japanese releases are so ignored by the international Kpop community. It's not like the language difference matters that much. And while Japanese releases are usually brighter, it's not like Korean releases are never bright either.


    Are there any Japanese releases you feel has been overlooked because it's Japanese?

    The last BTS Jpn song was Film Out back in 2021. It is an original Jpn song (not a Jpn version of a previous Korean song) and it was a collab with Japanese rock group, Back Number (song was written by Jungkook, Back Number’s Shimizu and BTS’s Jpn producer UTA). It was very well received by the international ARMY and J-ARMY.

    I feel with all the Itzy dislike last year this song didn't get the attention it deserved
