Just some XG appreciation… they’re too good?!?!?!

  • I don’t know if it’s because they swooped in my life like dark horses, but Left Right is just so good that I start giggling like a maniac when it comes on. Like I literally have to drop what I’m doing to start singing along (with my awful vocals). Like the pretty vocals? That bridge? The so very tolerable English lyrics? The production? Exquisite.

I have no idea how to begin to speculate about where their music or promotions will go in the future, or if they’ll gain major traction this year (maybe in Korea?) with Shooting Star and Left Right, but I am so very tuned. I’m hoping less EDM and more R&B is what they’ll roll with for the rest of this year. Their setup is a bit niche, but I’m so excited.

This is basically 100% how I feel about XG, especially with "LEFT RIGHT." That's their best song for sure. That song is the best K-pop take on 2000s R&B, no questions about it. I'm impressed to the point where I wish it was their title track.

  • They are good, and I only liked their music since shooting star & left right. Mascara and tippy toes are like boring.

Interesting concepts by bringing back y2k japan style w hip-hop r&b infused intrigued me.

Their xyphers are also good that I think they set this rapping standard high that so far no new 4th gen gg has hit it for me.

Their dancing skills, they are just good.

In terms of swag, they kill it and set this standard that I think even new yg gg won’t hit it despite them being the swag company.

I think they will slowly grow and explode in popularity.

  • We talked a bit about this earlier this week. I think they really found their identity with this comeback. I hope they stick with it for a while and build on it.

I’d like to see them promote in Japan as well. They’re way too good to not establish themselves in their home country. That would be a missed opportunity.

They remind me of the time I really started going down the K-pop rabbit hole. The groups that perfected their renditions of hip hop and R&B were the ones I gravitated to.

I think they shd as well in Japan.

Tbh if they continue to release good music, good xyphers and variety they will set the standard for my next bp takeover.

  • They do really well in Japan. For the moment, the vast Majority of audience is Japan based. But they hit US radio stations like 2 days ago and jumped in top 5 on some of them. The general consensus is that they slay! Also been introduced officially into Apple Music charts through the Ebro Show yesterday gave them tons of exposure. They reach new peaks and quite fast !!!
