get subbed and the fomo would be too much for you to bear, then i'd call that dedication but if you just listen from time to time and maybe watch a couple of yt videos about them and consider that a deep dive, then i'd say you're a casual but there's nothing wrong with that; at least you're not one of 'em psychotic haters or something lol
where do you draw the line between casual and real/hardcore fan? i think if you don't mind constantly spending on your favs stuff(music, merch, concerts etc) and actually bother to learn the language since most of the content groups put out probably won't

all I know being a hardcore can be
-not needed money or buying power to be hardcore fans
-and not needed to be loyal to one artist only
- you can be hardcore fan as a multi stan
- buying only multi album a year to none at all
-just following/update either by reading articles or join KPOP forum in any platform by internet/social doesnt make a difference
while
I don't judge casual fans someday they can be a real hardcore fans
also I don't use it as a weapon in comment or discussion✌ -
I don't think there is a line, personally.
Every defines themselves as being a fan and I think that what matters the most.
I think for me and me only, my line is when I go from only listening to their music to start watching their content. You'd be surprised how few people--fandom members included--don't even bother to fheck out these things.

to me there's casual fans, fans and stans...in various degrees of knowledge about the group, their songs, other non-musical activities, amount of money spent on them etc etc
