they took away the akorn earning by moving it to the arcade. It's essentially harmless...
Eh... That's so weird. If that thread isn't a kpop thread that belongs in the kpop section, I don't know what is.
I've never so much as looked into the arcade section tbh. Just saw the announcement and that the thread was gone...

Normally it would be but since posts in the arcade section don’t give you any akorns, ig they decided that was a good middle Ground as opposed to completely removing the thread. Takes care of the spam and “easily earned akorns” issue while letting people who like the thread keep using it ig.
A lot of the crackdowns on akorn earning and posts involve spam and akorns being too easy to earn, the songs thread and akorn weekend’s removal was the start and now we’ve gotten to the point where guilds can’t get akorns either…

why does it need to be "harder" to earn akorns? I understand that for games that also have forums but, akp isn't a game it's an online forum. Am I missing something? Does the main site have a game or something now??
The crux of the issue is that akorns are basically a crypto currency. All the free akorns around are paid for by Johnny. They aren’t free and it’s why you can buy physical items with akorns in the shop.
What they are concerned by is that there is more free akorns around and less paid for akorns. And since earning akorns costs him money, they want to encourage more thoughtful posting and whatnot so they feel more “earned”.
