Crazy how a lot of Top Group members are going to enlist soon but they weren't badgered like BTS

  • I mean they are not known enough to get people interested enough to search their members or their age

  • BTS were asked that because other groups fans thought their favs would get their spot lmao.

  • Non kpop fans don’t know these groups do they don’t care

  • TBF neither did BTS. They have some form of alternate service or something but that's not an exemption.

If BTS achievements weren’t relevant to Korea’s prestige, they wouldn’t be having discussions over it in the first place.

  • You mean the BTS that literally expanded the distribution of Korean Music worldwide? Hon before BTS, korean albums weren't distributed in the US and other parts of Europe. It was due to BTS's demand that Korean Albums are being distributed in Retail Stores like Target.

If you check who were actually granted exemptions, they were granted such for bringing honor to SK through art and sports.

Who are the ambassadors of Seoul? Who were appointed as Envoys of SK government? Who spoke at the United Nations and the White House?

SK likes to use BTS to further their agreements with other countries and use them to get advantages like what happened at the MET, but refuses to recognize their impact until it hit them hard during the actual enlistment announcements.

Idg why you're bringing that up when the fact remains even after all that they still didn't get an exemption, so clearly it didn't matter enough to the SK govt. (Also when most of that is not limited to BTS and other groups are/have been ambassadors and stuff.)

IIRC the discussion started from company requests and fan push, not because of their achievements. It was discussed and then they decided no. No exemption. Which is good because the amount of shit they would have received if they had got an exemption wouldn't have been worth it and the boys don't deserve to be hated on for a govt decision.

Please get your facts right. The companies that pushed was the big 3, not Big Hit. The fans that pushed were big 3 fans who wanted it for their Oppas but then turned feral on BTS when it became obvious that only BTS was in the running for exemption. BTS has done more for SK than any one who got an exemption for winning a sports or art award. Period. By the original intention of the original law, BTS deserve exemption. Just because the SK government and SK GP don’t understand this doesn’t mean that the law didn’t fail in the original intent of having such a law in the first place.

Please get your facts right. I never said it was BH or Army that asked for it. It didn't suddenly come up because the govt saw BTS achievements it was because companys and fans started asking for it and so the govt started looking into it. And they ended up deciding BTS wouldn't get it.

Jin cancelled the postponement before the govt made their decision though

  • why would people questioned about 95-liners when 93-liners and 94-liners are still around? Plus, we fans always know that they're going to serve

  • why would people questioned about 95-liners when 93-liners and 94-liners are still around? Plus, we fans always know that they're going to serve

Well, why did people question 92 liner Jin about enlistment when 90 and 91 liners were still around starting 2019?

  • Interesting since BTS aren't the ones who initiated the exemption talks. It was every company EXCEPT Bighit. Wanna know who tried to use BTS's achievement to try and get Kpop idols exempted? SM. YG. Pledis. Cube. Jellyfish. Starship. Etc., Who's groups did I use as examples? SM and Pledis.

So who's trying to get exemptions now?

I'm sure they wouldn't be badgered, if they themselves speak plainly i will enlist, exemption or not, when they were being interviewed. The problem is BH keeps silent without giving major announcements until they literally can't because no grammy, and finally the eldest one enlist rn.

But don't worry, older top groups like bigbang also being talked about before they started enlist one by one

Big Bang says they're ready to enlist whenever the country calls them
