How do you figure out if your makeup stuff are still good or nah?

According to my mum, eyeshadow doesn't expire at all, they just want you to spend more money. And true to her word, she still has a palette from the late nineties that she continues to use for special occasions!

Not sure I'd trust a product that old that close to my eyes myself though.

I always look at what the packaging says and if the consistency looks different from before. I try not the buy too much so I don’t throw away make up very often

Liquids/creams expire faster. Change in smell or consistency is definitely expired and should be thrown out.

I'm less worried about powder products, but if you want to be safe, you can scrape off the top layer. There are other ways to sanitize the products, but I don't know them lol
