anyone watched wakanda forever?

It was incredible! People are complaining that it's a full Black female cast but I don't care. It really lives up to the expectation of the first movie and I love how they honor Chadwick Boseman throughout the movie. It was very sweet and emotional

Also Shuri is BADASS

It was okay. I think because everyone loved Chadwick so much and they wanted to honor him, the whole thing kind of felt like a 2 hr memorial/funeral. It was really somber the whole way throughout without much levity.

They had a baby and after that, she went to Haiti. So apparently, she's been there a few years. The son is said to be 6 or 7 years old which means Black Panther 2 must be that much time after Black Panther 1 which makes Shuri roughly 22-23 in the second movie. Still pretty young.

For reference, Black Panther 1 was released in 2018 and I don't think Nakia (T'Challa's partner) was present in the Infinity War Saga.

I just saw it recently and it was better than I expected it to be w/o CB. Minor issues aside (could have tighten the story more and not sure re the Riri character - she was so under developed), it was one of the better Marvel films recently but I agree that it is different than most Marvel films. I loved the female cast (Angela, Letitia, and Danai were all great) and Namor was a good character. I didn’t like the recent Dr Strange or Thor films either. Spider-Man No Way Home was great though.

Very true...if I was born into a royal family where I don't have first rights to the throne for whatever reason (whether it be that I was born second or I was female and had a male brother because they were pretty sexist at this time and the male heirs would often surpass female heirs, no matter their birth order), I would be glad because it would mean that I'm not tied to expectations of having to rule a whole kingdom. Yep, exactly. Because he grew up always having to be prepared for kinghood. He didn't want his son to have to go through that and give him the chance to be a child and come back when he was ready.

but if you were born female in a royal household then it would be expected of you to marry to form alliances - not such a welcoming proposition for the females of those kingdoms!!!
