BTS J-Hope & Jungkook Are Guaranteed The Most Success In Terms Of A Solo Career

  • Obviously they always gonna be a group.

I'm just speaking in terms of the members putting out individual music.

Out of the vocal line, Jungkook is definitely gonna be the most successful.

Out of the rap line, same thing, its J-Hope who's gonna make the most noise.

Jhope knows how to seriously handle his own, and seeing his lollapalooza stage confirmed that for me. But even musically, out of the rap line, his songs always was the most talked about and anticipated. Especially ever since he came out with 'Chicken Noodle Soup' in 2019 which is his biggest hit and even entered Billboard Hot 100. It was trending all over the place and played a ton in America.

The only other rap line member who's made noise music wise is Suga. With his song 'Daechwita' in 2020, which currently on its way to 400 million views on YouTube and was on Billboard Hot 100 at #76.

But overall, RM seems to be the least favorable for solos. And Jhope is the most anticipated.

For vocal line, they all gonna pull big numbers, heck look at Jin one song 'Astronaut'. If he did that good, imagine what the maknae line can do.

But out of them, Jungkook is the most favorable among the fandom, and everyone always go crazy for his solo songs, breaking so many records for him.

He could do well in Korea in my opinion AND in the west musically too, since he knows how to sing in English and I know the U.S fans gonna make him chart high. Plus he has the best songs in my opinion. My favorite is 'Still With You'.

But yeah jungkook and jhope... y'all put out some great music man :borahae: .

  • i think jhope & jk might have the most potential

many people were anticipating jhopes solo & despite many unprepared factors (major music genre switch; no physical album, limited promo), he still did well. i think, if his next release is more commercial, he could break out.

however, i think jm & suga could be big underdogs. jms taste in music shows A LOT of potential (lie, filter, serendipity,..) & he is party of the ML. if handled well, he could blow away everyone with his first promoted solo. Yoongi's 2nd mixtape D2 showed what he's capable off & doing 400M for a complete unpromoted TT of an unofficial MIXTAPE - when most ksoloist dont even reach that for their promoted solo - is big! he's probably the most talented idol producer out there, so i wouldn't count him out yet.

Nah you right about Suga for sure. But I still think Jhope is number 1 out of the rap line .

Jimin songs...the only one he's put out is promise, and it did great for his first unofficial solo on souncloud.

But you gotta remember, BTS solo songs on albums are WAYYYY different from personal solo songs made from the members taste etc.

  • All their solo debuts will be supported by armys who still hope this is just a phase. They work well as a group but none of them is going to truly establish themselves as a solo act.

  • No its Suga, I'm not saying jhope doesn't have potential but Suga knows how to make music according to the taste of his target audience and he's armys' favourite from the rapline. Suga and jungkook will be the most successful.

I think the same and Hybe won't support them enough to establish them as soloists it might hurt the group's brand.

Jimin's songs will be great, nothing like promise. He's working with main pd's of bts and they know how to make hits.

  • Jk possible yes but jhope for rapline…lol girl. Nope

    Suga is more likely.

  • as a suga biased army i agree with op that it's jhope. both are charismatic but jhope has a better stage presence and it's a better performer.

why are people here sure that suga would be more successful? because he's more popular in fandom or because you assume he will have more gp friendly songs?

idk, like op i think that the most successful will be jungkook and j-hope

  • Isn’t Suga the only one with multiple songs over 100m streams on Spotify?

    agreed

also I love Suga but his post-D2 output production wise has not been a creative high IMO. hopefully he’s just getting EDM out of his system.

this doesn't determine who's more successful. Suga sits at multiple hits while jhope has none.

Suga has good stage presence too, he just isn't as skilled as jhope at dancing but he's still a force on stage.

Actually I didn't say suga because of stage presence or talent, Suga is more strategic when it comes to solo. Look at RM releasing in worst time ever and jhope with clap promo. Rumors are Suga isn't even the next it's someone from vocal line. He's waiting for the right time.

  • Kpoppies trying to downplay RM what else is new. RM has had a successful solo career since 2015 and will continue to be successful in his own lane. Jhope is starting to be way overhyped by ARMY. He has a long way to go before he has an appeal to a broader audience. And Jungkook has to find his own voice and get away from generic music. He'll end up another Shawn Mendez if he's not careful

  • RM also about to release what looks like a serious album which will likely garner acclaim and attention in circles kpoppies can’t even fathom because they’ll be looking to see where it charts on “Melon” like that even matters.
