Sorry, did I miss something? Did a third gen group actually do something this year worth being awarded? Sure, there's blackpink, but they never attend anyways and Armys been knew BTS on hiatus. Blinks and Armys got an excuse but what about the rest of you third gen stans?
4th Gen basically dog walked 3rd gen, not to mention the generational shift, and you guys are really out here acting brand new when none show up? These are award shows not Gayo Daejuns bffr.

If they're shocked then it shows they have no awareness of what's happening in the charts. BTS didn't light up the charts at all, RV did good but nothing great, and BP while still strong have been beaten by at least 3 different ggs in terms of sing sucess by GIdle, NJ and IVE so they aren't front runners.

In Korea the shift definitely happen. the 4th gen girl groups takenover but international wise it's hard to beat bts and bp at present it's takes more time for complete shift to 4th generation
I wouldn't NCT Dream dogwalked anyone this year but they won the first big award so far. And now some middle aged lady fans of a popular SK singer are trying to get the awards show investigated for fraud because he was leading in every metric.

What international popularity go to do with Korean awards? Why would BTS deserve awards when their Korean charting has been weak for top group standards this year? BP have a chance but we all know they don't attend shows because they don't care so they're out of the running too.

Physical sales are still part of the criteria for many of the awards. 6 of the top 10 best selling albums this year are 3rd gen, including 4 of the top 5.
