If you apologize and then you’re out of sight for a bit, people cool off and move onto the next thing. Tbh, the biggest mistake Hybe made with Garam was not immediately parking her for a bit while they “investigated.” Wild accusations will fly in the window, then they’ll be countered by other ones and eventually everyone moves on to the next thing and you’re free to roll the idol back out with whatever your findings were that people forgot about in the first place.
No matter how heinous what you did was, you’ll still have shooters. And no matter how innocuous your issue, you’ll still have people bringing it up four years later.
And for God’s sake keep a low profile during the early period of the heat, where they just see you sad shopping at the bookstore not whooping it up at the club.
