Newjeans image has no longevity?

  • Whenever your image and popularity is hinged on youth then every passing year is an obstacle. Their image of youth and freshness has an expiration date that will come sooner than later. Hopefully the members take advantage of their current trendiness and branch out with a lot of solo gigs to build individual brands.

looking back at this comment, it's now obvious that you just want them to disband. Sad!

  • They remind me so much of twice, GP was head over heels for twice because of their pure and youthful image. But when they changed their concept they lost interest in them. Same thing happened to gfriend. I hope MHJ makes wise deicisons regarding concepts.

  • The only one projecting is MHJ. NJ is an ego project for her, it’s why she is so defensive about their concept. NJ is a literal Lolita concept because they are actually underage. A lot of GG do Lolita but as adults wearing school girl uniforms etc. It is a popular concept pushed by old men. NJ just one ups ut by using real underage girls. The “unnies” are using BH to relive they own youth just like MHJ. I pity people who are so obsessed with youth that they feel the need to relive it.

BTS were youths when they did their first 2 trilogy but in case you haven’t noticed, their topics grew with them because no one was obsessed with being young. They wrote about the insecurities and issues that people their own age faced, not about wanting attention from a crush, confessing their feelings to a hype boy, then offering their cookie to their lover/ crush. That is what happens in all Lolita type movies. Underage girls exploring their sexual power and being portrayed far more maturely that what is realistic. In real life, kids displaying sexual maturity are usually victims. I have a problem with the entertainment industry glamorizing this issue. I can’t get on board NJ because of that and I don’t really care for how kpop fans like to justify it either.

You know her personally to say that?

  • post proof of NJ promoting as a lolita concept

    • attention is ok on the surface but has very odd cinematography, there are multiple shots intentionally set up to make the viewer feel they're seeing something private, and closeups of glowing female faces 99% the time is used to show a love interest
    • clothing with inappropriate designs
    • Danielle being dressed exactly like Mathilda from Léon: The Professional
    • Danielle being styled similarly to young Brooke Shields (who you know, was famously exploited from the age of 10)
    • Danielle (AGAIN) having a very similar hairstyle as Dolores in the Lolita film in addition to having the heart lollipop that was used in most posters for the same film.

And they're just all in your mind

This is one of the most overused and dumbest kpop fan comebacks. Right up there with “ go out and touch some grass”. It is what you say when you have no response and are too lazy to even bother firing off a brain cell. Defending someone who has been pretty obvious with admiring Lolita films and “ art” isn’t a hill I would want to be on, but then what can you expect from someone who probably shares the same interests as MHJ.
