Why does Kep1er lose so many fans?

  • Their engagements are going down by half even though their songs are pretty good. What’s the reason?

  • No major stan attractor in the group. The main visual is overhyped, too many other girls in kpop who look like her. The other high profile member is sympathy stanned. Xiaoting has star power but she's Chinese, so...

Xiaoting is talented but she's boring, I like Hikaru and bahi as a non fan. They should push them more. Whole group looks really bland and boring and they're not even putting any efforts in music and concept department.

    And who's their main visual?

The only chance Hikaru and Bahi have to be popular or carry Kep1er is if they have interesting personalities like Tsuki or Jooe but they don't even have even that much.

  • Honestly, the felt dead in the water out of the gate. The whole produce concept was kind of tainted by rigging accusations, then one member in particular still got through in a very suspicious manner and didn't feel deserved.

None of the hype seemed natural even at the beginning and was mostly driven by Bahi stans, who themselves weren't REALLY stans of her.

Then their music failed to make any STRONG impact.

Most people just forgot about them and moved on to the mostly better IVA/NJ/LsF set.

  • cos they are boring. And their music is boring too. And there are at least 3 or 4 groups that are ready to give a bloodbath for the sake of being the next 4 gen top gg. So take out your big guns or get ready to get buried

  • seems like they're now focusing on the top 3 most popular members (Xiaoting, Hikaru, Bahiyyih) in We Fresh but it's too little too later probably

Kep1er severely lacks Korean fandom, none of the Korean members have a big fanbase, the most popular 3 are all more popular with ifans.

their music isn't very good either. People forget but Izone didn't have half the hype they did after La Vie en Rose smashed. That great debut song did wonders for them. Wa Da Da did okay-ish, mostly internationally, but it definitely didn't gain them many new fans.

  • people moved on from groups with many members, too many competitions to overshadow them this year. all that plus their music isn't even as good as those competitions so....

  • Uninteresting members tbh. They don't have anyone like Somi, Sejeong, Daniel, Wonyoung or Sakura from previous Mnet survival show groups.

The biggest potential they have is Xiaoting, but she's Chinese, and for that simple fact she would not be popular enough in Korea domestically to carry them. The next ones up in line like Chaehyun or Hikaru pales in comparison to other 4th gen gg idols like Karina, Winter, Wonyoung, Yujin or Chaewon and Sakura.

If they had better music, maybe they would grow in popularity, but songs like Wa Da Da simply isn't gonna cut it, and even then, at this point I think it may be too little too late for them.

  • I casually follow them and watch their variety shows, but they just seem to have no chemistry, or that it seems really fake/manufactured.

IOI had great chemistry out the gate and some members of Iz*One too (they really built it over the long haul tho). But Kepler just seems lacking.

  • the korean members don't have any star power, the center is weak, she's overshadowed by members with 5s lines when she get lots of lines and center, they are being hard carried by Bahiyyih, Xiaoting and Hikaru which are all more popular internationally, on top of that weak songs too

  • I think because of the concept. Imo none of the members actually fits the concept they are doing.

If you watched the show, half of the members of Kepler always did a girl crush concept while the other half avoided it and did a cute concept instead, because they were better with that. Now they are in the same group and it looks like the company around them dont know what to do, so they are doing a teen crush kinda of thing, but watching them in these MVs or at the stage... just feels kinda of weird, like something is missing. Like they were just put into the same group (which is the thing and I never actually felt this with other produce groups) but dont really fit in.

  • This drop off is normal for an act created in a competition show. The producers got lucky with their lineups (and music for Izone) the last two female seasons.

The IOI girls carried their group despite mediocre music.

The Izone girls didn't stand out quite as much, but it was close and they had better music to make up for that.

Kep1er doesn't have the lineup or the music. Both are mediocre. Mediocre dies in this hyper-competitive environment.

  • I'm the biggest Wizone on here and i'm telling you, i'm glad that the group was rigged. You don't let Joe Public determine the single most important part of a Kpop group - the casting of the members. Letting anonymous voters decide this is like if Warner or Disney decided to let Twitter vote on who would play the next lead in a blockbuster movie production costing 9 figures. Any producer proposing this would probably be fired on the spot.

Kepler is what happens when you let rando nobodies with terrible biases determine your lineup. Other fans here have mentioned how awkward they are and how they lack an It Girl. These problems are precisely why you let actual professionals that make a living with this stuff use their expertise to come up with 9 or 12 members that can best attract fans and bring almost guaranteed success.
