SM new boy group arriving. Thoughts?

  • Are you excited? Will they smash and change the game for 4th gen boy groups?

  • depends if SM still stubbornly pushing their niche music then no. If they getting mainstream music then yes

  • Depends on the songs they release but don't have high hopes for SM in 4th gen...

  • It depends.

SM boygroup music hasn't been my cup of tea in years and if, as I currently suspect, all we're gonna get is more of the same, then no, I'm not excited. If they try something a little more palatable, though? Count me in.

  • It will be different from NCT, just as NCT was different than EXO.

That doesn't mean it's necessarily going to be the bright, soft music people keep saying they miss, considering they don't bother to consume it from the artists that do it rn (like Astro or Younite). Even NCT Dream, which is generally softer and brighter, has its softer songs chart lower and for less time than their bolder ones. (Hot Sauce is their longest lasting, best performing song. Hello Future fell out fast.) It will be interesting to see how they make this group different from NCT, EXO and Shinee.

  • This is the perfect timing. Boygroups are disappointing lately. But I don’t have high hopes in this group unless they try smth else instead of experimental music

  • i hope is more on the Exo line of music

also....didn´t SM pool of traines got dry? i thought they would debut them all on NCT.

Maybe they were keeping the good ones for small old fashion kpop group...oh yes please Lord :dancer-pepe: this would mean sm is not dead
