Hybe is sabotaging rapline

  • It won’t make a big impact like ML but Hybe should help them to have a decent numbers

Jack In the Box sales now are "decent" numbers. The album would've had "impactful" numbers if they had a proper rollout. It would've sold between 1-2 million copies with normal physicals, maybe more depending on how many versions. They won't make the same mistake with the other members, including ML. They already backpedaled on having weverse album onlywith the vinyl release.

    But... are they really stupid?

They can show merch sales as non-related income through Weverse store. They are trying to show they are not dependent from BTS by channeling ARMY purchases to indirect assets.

At this point, we can only boycott any merch and only put money on music (released with normal format and pricing too, not trash weverse or $300 editions)

Yes they are stupid because investors are now pressuring them more because the results for the first BTS solo were not as they should've been. If they had simply sold physicals like literally every other company does for solo releases, they would've have blockbuster numbers to show investors who were wary about this solo period. They shot themselves in the foot, yet again.

  • lmao he collab with all the biggest solo artists in SK. he's the one who cares about commercial aspect the most in BTS. He won't let his solo album flop

Have you seen him promoting D2? At least Jhope did something for Hope World. He did zero promo for his collab with IU. Even for the PSY collab, he was about to go dim but PSY pushed him hard. The reason his solo collabs do well is because they are good and have general appeal. He usually leaves it upto the artist he collabed with to do the promo.

1-2m copies sound like an exaggeration

  • so did yg the same with Lisa,

she is back on top 10 in Billboard

if people is interested on them, they will be successfull, don´t worry.

lmao what same yg did with lisa? For all releases (both solo and group ones) there was always a big gap of literal monthss between them so fans could focus on one release for a long time. You guys have just few songs to focus on in overal & girl released literally just 2 songs for yall to focus, it's very easy task. Not sure what top10 you are talking about, hopefull not that "hot trending choise" bs which fans can spam whenever they want...

Now let's compare it to BTS situation: Jimin's ost & That That by Psy, after that Proof, after that Left & Right by CP, after that j-hope debut, right after that Bad Decisions, after that RM's collab, after that j-hope & Crush collab with Rush Hour - that's 16 new songs already in a span of few monthes plus Proof all of which fans also use for streaming here & there and all that while hybe constantly gives dozens of other stuff like merch, games, vlogs, etc, in which fans obviously will invest their time & money too. How exactly do you expect fans to focus on one thing when they constantly bombarded by dozens of other things which fans also need to promote and support somehow?.. Yes, obviously release time for collabs isn't decided by hybe only cause other artist is involved (and other artist also can promote it, just look at Psy, CP, BB and Crush) but at least hybe can 1) properly promote & give proper distribution & playlisting to their own actually debuting artist especialy since they know a lot of other stuff coming and 2) tone down dozens of other stuff to not distract fans. For j-hope it looked really ridiculous cause for every his release date (MORE, Jack In The Box & Rush Hour) hybe suddenly magically have a game or game related thing dropping too around that time like there is absolutely no other time in the year.

And not you trying to be shady with that "if people is interested on them, they will be successfull, don´t worry" when j-hope literally outsold with his debut with bare minimum from company and all the above, he could do so much better if conditions and treatment was different.

What promotions for Hope World are you talking about?.. Jhope didn't even have a photoshoot for it like RM and Suga for their first mixtapes, yes, Hope World was a good music which was even played on US radios back then but he didn't promote it at all. And everybody knows that for Jack In The Box promotions were non existent.

IU name itself is promo, the reason his solo collabs do well (in SK) is cause he always collabs with big names there (except for Suran, but charts and fandom back then were different) if he did Sexi Nukim type of collab with unkown artist he'd flop and not sure what "pushed him hard" about Psy when Suga not only specifically went for such type of song with such type of artist cause it'd be good for tiktok hype but also danced in it (and challenge for it) for same purpose and even decided to appear on Psy show for promo for himself among gp. Literally the only time Suga is active is when he promotes something his.

  • 1-2m copies sound like an exaggeration

Dude did 500K with a qr code and a dream and you still think 1-2M for a properly promoted and done roll-our with album being available in target, amazon, etc is an exaggeration? For such an interesting concept like Jack In The Box? For a male soloist who is only behind his own group in debut numbers among male artists and who got at least twice bigger numbers for his sabotaged debut than the 3rd artist on the least (I think it's straykids and didn't they got 2M of albums or smth like that?)? For jhope who sold 100K tickets for lollapalooza and got the biggest demand for a ticket in festival history? Jhope is successful superstar, cope with that.

  • They’re barely doing a proper rollout for the HER vinyl as well - yes it has Target, but it should literally be in every store. What is going on? Why is the biggest group in the world having their distro so scaled back?? I feel like we are a step away from having to order their music as imports. The regression.

How many LP did he sell? I think Jhope is talented and famous but he does not get enough credit and attention from GP; 2 million seems impossible this is maknae line number

ML would do 1.5m the most, V might surpass 2 million, his Chinese and Japanese fans buy a lot and HL if they get actual album 700k or 800k the most.

😩😩I don't care about numbers but they deserve better.

    It is on Amazon too

V could surpass 2m but Jungkook and Jimin are selling close to 2m. HL like Suga can pull 1m

  • JHope’s JITB vinyl sold out on the US and global stores on the first release. They have since restocked it in the US store. This proves that he had enough demand to be restocked. His album also debuted in the top 20 billboard 200 chart so he beat out a lot of other kpop group albums by himself. Don’t undermine and underestimate what the BTS members can do because they are responsible for the success of BTS overall.
