  • They sold more than BP

  • Imagine releasing a diss track trying everyone you are the best and everyone wants to be you and then get blocked in Korea by rookies and surpassed in the US by the group your fans thought they aren't even your competitors.

And this after a two year hiatus.

  • first they can't beat aespa's first week, then they get blocked by rookies twice and now THIS

    yup their actually over

  • They will probably get a bit more than the projections like the others, but this is very very eye opening stuff. You wouldve thought they would get double that at the LEAST. Both streaming and sales underwhelmed. The so called global dominance looking sus in the light.

  • i dont get it. whats happening?

are bp not selling the most?

how is twice beating them? what numbers did they pull?

im curious i dont follow either group

  • I think BP has a lot more casual listeners than any K-pop group, but fandom-wise they are not ahead of many groups

They have more dedicated streaming farms, not casual listeners

they have more dedicated streaming farms. if you look at melon and genie. they are number one in streaming but cant overtake rookies in UL's. even in zombie hours they are streaming in genie and melon. thats what keeping them rank 1 in genie and top 100 but not daily. repetitive streaming every hour

  • That's because majority of the fans are kids. People underestimate how big of a impact kids have on streams and views, just look at baby shark.

but I thought they gp dahlings and have few fans in Korea.

Because Twice has more talent. Plain and simple. Talent usually wins in the end.

  • this is truly some eye-opening stuff. Starting to make me even question shit I never would have before like YouTube views or their millions of IG followers. Is it YG bots that created the illusion they were untouchable?

    the mediaplay curtain is falling

even if they get #1, thanks to yg trying everything, them not surpassing 110k+ physical sales in the US is indeed eye opening.

  • then it would show in every metric

by that skz is bigger than both and we know saying that out loud its laughable

8|8|8| even BTS in 2018 sold almost 140k albums.......definitely eye opening

  • twice has worked really hard to build their fanbase in the Us since 2019 and they're having good results now

bp’s predicted to sell 80k albums in the us first week compared to twice’s effortlessly moving 94k with between 1&2. this is hilariously juicy especially after blinks dragged twice so much for being flop has-beens of 3rd gen, only for twice to outsell bp easily in the us lmao. we’ll see if this prediction is accurate but either way it’s still embarrassing as fuck they’re not blowing their competition away like they were bragging :pepe-joy:

  • Is most beloved blinks when they said Blackpink is taking over BTS in the west. Almost.

  • I wonder if us blinks could at least catch up to twice sales in the last few days of tracking.

  • I'm a Once but I think I'll hop over to Target to buy a couple to help these flops out.

  • Well I wouldn't call them bigger but after this there's definitely not a hugeee gap between BP and Twice as Blinks like to brag about

Both have decently similar fanbase size, just BP have the luxury of better Spotify playlisting

oh alright, yes twice has been dragged quite a bit these comeback. good for them to sell that much than the competitor

  • Is it final? Is the tracking period over? Not a fan of both but I think it's too early to call them out.

Other way round. They have more dedicated fans than casual steamers. If they had more casual then on kcharts they would be tearing it up instead consistent beaten by rookies or matching they likes of BTS on world charts (which they clearly haven't).

eye-opening indeed because their online fans are always so loud and fight with every group's fandoms. maybe if they put the same energy in supporting their favs as dragging others... :pepe-peek:

I dont think u even know what u are saying

if they were moved by fandom in kcharts they would have fallen of top10 already ,like bgs do, like ytc did

casual interest is what keep songs on charts, not fandom streaming

Oooop, the way they're scrambling after that chartdata tweet was hilarious.

Would be funny if they really can't surpass twice us sales in the last few days of tracking after all the bragging they did in the past few weeks.
