Don't ask blinks they are the same ones who called Aespa sales fake and trying to do the same with ive now
threatened losers can't accept the new gen is here
Realistically they don't have huge demand in album sales I noticed it's already like 40% off
I'm shocked they haven't broken Aespa 1st week yet I guess it was all hype

some people forget pre orders are STOCK pre orders ie what shops like target or ktown4u order from the distributor (YG Plus)....
Let me explain: (numbers i'm using are all mainly random below just using them to explain)
lets put it this way...
if target ordered lets say 50k albums from YG plus...
they'll put those on their website for pre order right,
Blinks will than go to targets website and buy from those 50k that target has in stock... lets say they didn't sell them out during pre order, that means under 50k albums would have been actually sold via target and it would be less likely Target would order another shipment, as they would not have sold all of their stock
Now lets say Blinks sold out the pre orders on Target really quickly.. that would mean around 50k albums are definitely sold and would mean that Target would than order from YG Plus again.. thus raising the Stock Pre orders.
this is what happened when the pre orders rise... its more stores ordering albums due to their 1st supply going out of stock mainly.
Another example is ktown4u since we can see the numbers.
They are once again a store so they will order albums from the distributor.
They likely ordered over 500k+ for Born Pink (they definitely did we know) since they knew there would be demand for more than that given how THE ALBUM sold on their store.
Now lets say they ordered idk 600k-700k of the main ver in their first order that would contribute to the initial 1.5M pre orders they have. Than YG announced digipacks, so than ktown4u might order lets say idk 400k of the digipaks... which likely was part of the 2M number reported a few days after digipaks were announced.
In these cases as both of those numbers are higher than the number sold, Ktown4u would not pre order more albums from YG Plus even though the numbers for the albums continued to grow on ktown4u. Now if Ktown4u had ordered less than the numbers sold... they'd need to order more from YG PLus and that would than raise the stock pre orders.
idk if that made sense. But it's a lot of the time why people expect large jumps in pre orders and sometimes don't get them.
