Are wizones getting too brave for how well their idols doing not named IVE

  • wizones getting brave and talkin smack on wannables when their idols not named ive are doing just as well/bad (depending on how you see it).

out of their soloists, only yena is doing decent.

let's be honest, yuri and eunbi are doing similar to other wanna one soloists. the only difference is izone had the longest time to secure a fanbase, so their album sales are higher. but their music are not making any noise outside of their own fanbase, no real public relevance. not to mention wanna one are doing a lot more acting jobs as well.

at the moment, its essentially the same for izone and wanna one. kang daniel = ive. and the rest are a cut underneath.

wizones need to take a step back and relax.

  • Its true. IVE is a phenomenon, they are doing better than even big4 groups, that would never be a reality in the past gen. Wizones who think they can put their faves on the same level as IVE currently are delusional, but I do hope to see more non big4 artists to get a spotlight and be able to compete with big4 artists that have a much bigger advantage than them. Its only fair. Time to end big4 dominance so kpop is more on an equal ground and quality prevail.

  • Don't know about all the drama but lsfm is doing good too. Agree about the soloists, they look like they'll drown out in a few years too.

And IVE and Lsfm are doing this good because of their companies management. What post wanna one group went into good companies? Pledis doesn't count.

  • Daniel's hype only lasted for a year I can't say the same for ive

  • Agree, izone was one of the most overrated group anyway.

  • I mean yeah it's true. Out of all Izone members, Wonyoung and Yujin are doing the best with Ive. Some ppl may name LSRFM but Sakura and Chaewon are clearly not on the same level, and it's the case with groups in big companies, where they get support and name dropped in conversations, but they're not quite there yet.

Wonyoung and Yujin are appearing on big shows, esp Yujin in Earth Arcade and guested in other shows as well. Wonyoung is still getting CFs and a big name, but can't say the same for Chaewon and Sakura.

Yena is still here and there, but tbh others are slowing fading away. Wizones were quick to hop on and made dozens of threads during their many of their re-debuts, but where are they now?

Yuri did a webdrama, but tbh I'm not sure why, it felt like a waste of time when she should've been solidifying her music career, it's not like she's going to be an actress in the future anyway.

Eunbi was never that much of a big name, Hyewon does her own YouTube thing, but people are so adamant that she was "doing so well", Minju still filming her drama but had nothing for a whole year besides an MC gig, Nako and Hitomi are in Japan doing their own things, but not like it's comparable (otherwise those Produce alumnis like Jieqiong and Guanlin are doing just as well if not better).

They are just the same as other Produce groups, if anything I would say IOI is doing the best with the three-headed monsters of Somi, Sejeong and Chungha. Daniel is still huge domestically and has no problem going on shows or hosting huge shows like SWF, people here are really casually just disregarding him lol.

  • The top tier from the PD contestants so far are

    Somi, Chungha, Sejeong

    Kang Daniel,

    Wonyoung and Yujin.

Of course all have had their ups and downs - but nevertheless they are the top tier in public perception and charts.

That said, any of the ex-IOI, ex-Wanna One, ex-Izone members, do better than 90% of the idols out there. It is a popularity business and their popularity from the Produce shows will at least hold good for 10 years or so.

Izone had an additional advantage of time to build a viable fandom as well, which shows in good physical sales.
