Why did Twice renew?

  • They never got a hit after 2018 so it seems strange they renewed. Did they think they will start smashing?

  • They enjoy performing for their fans, making music, and making money?

  • Positioning themselves globally i.e. US & Japan. It seems like they found a good formula style-wise w/ "The Feels" and are replicating it fairly successfully w/ Celebrate/Talk that Talk (not domestically but internationally). They're the most successful they've ever been in those markets $$$ wise...

  • to be overworked with awful music

I give it 5 years max. till they are finished! twice will leave no legacy their fall from the top was rough

  • JYP probably mentally drained them making them think that the group is the only way of success for them and if they leave they are going to be nugus

  • even though they haven't had an hit in some time, they still make an insane amount of money. also, artists become artists cuz they like to perform so yk, maybe that could have something to do with it?

  • Apart of Nayeon none of them any worthwhile solo career (TV, acting, movies, music etc) so it's probably best for them to make as much as they can with group projects instead of going alone with nothing.

I had a dark conspieracy theory that JYP forced TWICE to resign their contracts

but thats a really stupid theory of mine :clown:

  • Koreans do have a chance, at least Jihyo and Chaeyoung, they could go into being a Sunmi or a Heize. Sana can be a braille singer or a japanese actress, same with Mina

Jihyo is one of the least popular members and hasn’t really had much success with her OSTs. A female soloist requires a lot of popularity to succeed and Jihyo simply doesn’t have that.

Idk what Chaeyoung brings. Rap for idols is extremely niche, only Jessi and GD dragon have found long sustained success in that field. She’s also not that well known either.

Going to Japan for others basically means the end of their career as Twice unless they can fly between 2 countries regularly. It’s not feasible. Sana might have some success with Korean variety though, that if she’s ever allowed to go on regularly.

Isn't Heize like barely known by the kpop community though? her songs charts well but isn't very known, it could be the opposite case for Jihyo and Chaeyoung

  • Twice is like fine wine and gets better as it ages.

BP, NJ, and æ are like milk and go bad in two weeks.

  • because they actually enjoy music and they care about their fans and members...

  • cause theyre actually a group that makes music and isnt reliant on thirst tactics and hype
