Why would kpop community popularity matter? Heize is popular with the public and that allows her to keep charting high and continuing to release music.

If kpop fans correlated with charting then bgs should have been the ones tearing up charts for decades but that’s hardly the case outside a small handful. Like I said jihyo and Chaeyeoung (and most lf Twice tbh) aren’t that well known with public so they likely can’t chart well or have people tune regularly tune in to watch them. Wendy is very talented but lack of popularity among public meant she flopped on the charts for her debut.

The big issue is JYP has let them build any sort of public awareness for most of them. Jihyo has a few OSTs but unless you’re Taeyeon it’s not the best way to get your name out there, you need to start releasing music that shows off you as a solo, not a the background for a drama or movie. Or if any of them wanted to be actresses they will have to start from the very beginning unless the director is extremely confident with their acting skills. Acting at an older age with no experience at all isnt very good planning. variety is prob the easiest to break into but again none of them have any recurring or permanent appearances on tv shows so there’s no anticipation from tv viewers.

No one is that dense. But not even being able to get near the top 5 for 3 years and just getting worse and worse overall is a sign people really aren't listening.

They are struggling to even make it to #20 on the daily chart and top 10 on Gaon.
