why are they all of a sudden obsessing over blackpink even on twitter they are making these kinda of jokes and shading blackpink
your favs don't have the quarter of blackpink's success and won't probably be around in 6 years

Nobody said anything about AOTY. We're talking about ArOTY, SOTY, and ROTY.
but also, wake up and stop being bitter and delusional. People said the same thing about BTS back in the day, but once a group gets too big in popularity, being from a small or mid-sized company won't matter. Especially in IVE's case where they didn't just outdo the competition by a little but by a lot. The other thing too is that IVE is not just "Starship" They are a Kakao group, Kakao which is a far bigger company than any of the big 4. They also literally own Melon streaming service. So you really sit there and think Melon won't hand over that daesang which they rightfully earned, along with other award shows. IVE may not sweep everything, but they will have a bag full at the end of this year.

Blackpink really is an anomaly. Never got a daesang when their seniors (Bigbang and 2ne1) got loads and both groups were highly acclaimed musically. Blackpink seems to be more acknowledged for their fashion, CFs and media presence than their music. At least they are not like Teasure who didn’t have any remarkable trait.

Please stop using this "IVE is a Kakao group" reason. IVE is the only and first "Kakao" group to achieve major success in every metric while Kakao have around 20 more groups that are either considered nugu or mid tier. The only massively successful "Kakao" artists are IU and IVE, and they are managed by completely different labels at a different time. Kakao being bigger than big4 doesn't matter. Kpop doesn't generate even 5% of their money, which is the opposite of big4 where most of their income come/depend on their artists.

Okay, let me rephrase this in a way someone with a brain like yours can understand.
Firstly, I did not mention Kakao as an excuse. IVE achievements speak for themselves. They don't need Kakao or starship to payola their way to any daesangs. Got that? Good. Moving on.
Secondly, the only mention I made of Kakao was to address your asinine claim that "they wouldn't give daesangs to a Starship group", which insinuates that only groups from big 4 (big 3 at the time). BTS was literally from a company 10x smaller than Starship but still got their awards due to their level of popularity.
As for Kakao being bigger, yes, yes it does matter. The only difference between Kakao and the big 4 groups is branding. Them having a bunch of flops other than IVE and IU doesn't change the fact that they still have far more money and resources than any of the big 4. Other companies trying to payola their way to beat IVE will hit a wall. And, once again, Kakao owns Melon. It's literally the reason so many bitter people like yourselves accused Sistar of chart manipulation on melon and even IVE. So you're silly if you think Melon will spurn their own group.
