ye i had a phase where i read a lot of it

I don't read them a lot, but sometimes I read them for fun.
I admit that I read mostly ATEEZ ones...
I like the fluffy ones.
in many places like Wattpad and tumblr.
and then there is also some of the YouTube ones.
I was recently reading a Wattpad fanfic that I randomly came across on Pinterest. (yup, sometimes Pinterest had pictures with links to Wattpad fanfics...)
and I ended up reading all the 23 chapters of it.
I found the romance a bit too unrealistic and "fast" (like these two had just met, but are already in love), but I enjoyed reading it lol
Well... I have also written some kpop fanfics myself.
and sometimes I think that reading fanfics can help me know how to write better. (I do also write original stories with characters that I made up myself)

The youtubes ones are the worst I watch them just to make fun of them ngl lol
I think most fanfics have really fast romances, so when I find a slow burn one I have time of my life! Fluff ones are the best!
Writing fanfiction is a good way to improve imo, because people build off characters with their imagination. I do the same as well, reading to write

ao3 is the only correct answer
Yes

That sounds really intresting! That's a reason why I like fanfiction, you can build off real people/fictional characters and use your imaginative mind to create stories. People may find that dehumanizing but I find it wholesome, amateur creators can write so many words from just being inspired by one person yk?
Yep! I love it sometimes but there are definitely lines where it can cross to where it becomes weird. I've legit seen some "romance" fanfics with real people go down a dark path and that sort of thing disgusts me (and that's all I'll say about it)
But I like character building especially when it doesn't go that deep into romance. Like it's always really fun to create stories and characterize idols based on their personalities. Like if I were to give each Blackpink member an earthly element and make a story about them being fairies of those elements or something.

Same; I've read some really, what's the word, interesting ones that I want to erase from my head.
Agreed, I think the chracterisation is half the reson why I read fanfiction in the first.

Yeah...fanfiction can get really disgusting on so many levels.
But then there's the type of fanfiction that you can enjoy reading.
I love characterization sometimes. Many times, it can be really creative and that's the main reason I read fanfiction as well. Many people who look at fanfiction in a bad light only think of the ones that are full of shipping real people with the reader or another real person or something like that, like the cringey or disgusting stuff...but fanfiction doesn't have to be all of that.
