When VMAs were on I was outside so just when I came back I caught up with the news etc and as it was super late i went to sleep so now I'll make my essay bc BP deserves it and I'll include also another woman bc Brazilians also won!
BLACKPINK and Lisa made history, represented kpop, represented Asia, represented women in this crazy industry and as a debut blink who always saw the positive and negative things surrounding BP all i can say is: Damn BP, we did it!
When they debuted I was just happy bc their music was totally my type and they seemed like nice girls, but after being with them and understanding more and more how difficult it is to be a success woman, let alone 4 successful women I just keep getting proud of everything BP achieved/achieves.
Since debut BP keeps increasing, since debut they keep outdoing themselves and Coachella was a win, their world tour was a win, they being the face of kpop is a win, they going viral and becoming BA is a win, they winning VMAs is also a win so I'm here to just congratulate them and blinks, bc yes, we did it!!
BP music is appreciated, loved, acclaimed, a mark in kpop. BP talent is appreciated, loved and their performance yesterday made me proud! So yes, just me being a happy blink!!!
Btw Anitta is a Brazilian singer, a woman who since she became famous was doubted, judged bc she acted like she wanted, she does what she wants, she is the epitome of freedom and she overcame so many hardships, prejudice in Brazil and outside and yesterday she also made history. She is the first Brazilian act to ever win a VMAs, another win for me as a Brazilian woman! So yes, a double win and even though they are from two totally different "worlds", they also come from similar "battles" and this just made me even more happy!!
