because compared to the other members - whose strongest connection to music is probably making some spotify playlist - she comes across as "musically inclined".
it's very laughable though because except for some covers & a few lines in her own songs (that she can't even pinpoint), she probably does less than average youtube - wannabe - musician.
Also, not even gonna start comparing with other female idols like moonbyn, jihyo, hwasa,... who're all max martin next to her.

instead of the mumbling & scared looking around rosé does when asked about what exactly she contributed to her song. if anyone is using a ghost writer, i think it's very clear who it is..

she got asked - since she participated so intensely in the making of the song - what parts she actually contributed. However, she couldn't exactly tell the interviewer what she had done IN HER OWN SONG.
for someone painted as "very passionate" about music & making it; it's fishy she doesn't recognise her own contributions. how do you not know what words you wrote?

That doesn't make sense. Because it's not like Amy Allan and three other songwriters sat down on zoom to write that song from scratch with Rose and Teddy. It would have been a full set of lyrics that was sent for consideration.
And then there is a deal of "Yes, our star will record your song which guarantees it will sell a lot of units, but you need to let her and her producer get a credit." They say yes, because better to have a mediocre song out there making money than sitting in a file unused.

blackpink as a group is not really into music. But they need to sell it for the American market so the fans gotta do what they gotta do.

As a casual fan of them what ive seen is
She can play guitar and piano, and is the main vocalist. Has done numerous live covers and has being praised by some of the biggest artists in the industry - Chris Martin and John Mayer. She seems to have a passion for music which is more then the others. I think she is the only musician in Blackpink.
Compare the rest of them,
Jennie is the main rapper, and is the best rapper in the group by far but not a great singer. More of a screamer and doesn't play any instruments. More of a socialite then musician.
Lisa is the main dancer and that's it. She's out shined in rapping by Jennie and a lot of times by Rose in dancing. Cant really sing to save herself. The fake swag is just cringe, borderline embarrassing at times. A dancer only, definitely not a musician.
And that leaves Jisoo, the visual. Not bad at singing but dancing is laughable to say the least. 6 years in and barely any improvement. A lost cause for dance if ever there was one. Only got the gig because of her looks. An actress yes, musician no.
Without Rose and Jennie Blackpink would just be another run of the mill kpop girl group. Those two carry the group far more then people and blinks want to admit.
And just because you can write lines in a song doesn't somehow make you a musician. That's one of the dumbest things i've ever heard. If you believe that then i hate to say it but most of your faves aren't musicians either lol.
