where like as an employee in marketing/finance/accounting/ etc etc (not entertainment industry related) your entire livelihood depends on the success of kpop idols

Isn't that the same tho for any company? You have to pray whichever company you work for is doing well otherwise you lose your job if they go bankrupt. Imagine the marketing guy who worked for a solar powered flashlight company.
