In your objective opinion, who deserves artist of the year?

For the first time in possibly ever, it's not super clear who the winner will be. With IU and BTS presumably not releasing again, who do you think will end up winning artist of the year? Contenders: BTS, Blackpink, Aespa, G-idle?, Seventeen?, Big Bang?, Taeyeon?

For other awards:

SOTY biggest contenders (so far): Tomboy, Still Life, Love Dive, Attention (should win: Tomboy) Pink Venom will probably get a nom too

ROTY biggest contenders (so far): NJ vs IVE vs LSRF (should win: IVE, will probably win: NJ)

AOTY biggest contenders (so far): Proof, Girls, Born Pink, NCT?, Seventeen? (will win: probably Proof)

I honestly don't see BP attending anything since we know they will be on tour October - January without a break so I don't think they will win anything. Confirmed that they won't be at MAMA since they have a concert on that date

It would be ridiculous, with the numbers BP is pulling, for them to not win

BP need not be there in person to win. Remote acceptance is enough.

But can they win?

Though YTC underperformed, BTS will still have the physicals and votes, won't they?

SOTY: Depends on the longevity of PV, otherwise it is Tomboy or Still Life.

ROTY: LSF never had a chance against IVE, but with NJ, it is open again.

ArOTY: I think will be given to whoever didn't get ROTY/SOTY

If the Rookies get it, that would be impressive.

I forgot the criteria for ArOTY, if it is not purely by sales of releases that year, then IU does have a first this year, for women in K-pop Not to mention her digital sales is second only to LYW .. even if she didn't have hit release in 2022.

As long as physicals and votes are in play and BTS has released anything, even if it did make an impact digitally, they would have a huge lead over anybody.

It is only in Digitals, that someone like IU or BigBang beat them.

SOTY I think Love Dive is huge possibility. Not only did they do well domestically, they also did the best internationally, far more than TomBoy. Aside from Blackpink who probably won't attend, this year IVE definitely had the biggest hit song and deserves SOTY. Throw in their album sales (will probably hit 2 million in total once After Like drops) and they will be the 4th gen group with the highest digitals and albums thus making them best suited for ROTY. Likewise ArOTY (again, providing Blackpink does not attend).

All I know is IVE is going to be leaving these end of year award shows with a bag.
