Are BP and RV still the most anticipated girlgroups today?

Despite that ppl claim Newjeans, ive, aespa, and nmixx took over 3rd gen and are the most successful girl groups this year, the public seems to be anticipating and checking out religiously only the releases of Blackpink and Red Velvet. Why?

This is only first 24 hours, of course those groups with years of recognition will do better numbers at first

Eleven was a decent hit but love dive was their actual breakthrough imo, those 24h numbers were good all things considered. The real disappointment was aespa

Nah it’s a 6 years and 8 year girl group we are talking about, they should’ve lost their hype like pretty much everyone else in their gen by now. Girl groups usually only decline digitally with age.

It’s the newer ggs with the hit songs who should be doing those numbers

Red Velvet doesn't have a certain concept, they always try new style songs. In other words, each CB can carry a different style of song and concept. I think these long-term concepts are very useful to Red Velvet. That's why they keep the fresh image since their debut. And Blackpink doesn't CB very often, and when they comes back, they always have songs that are above a certain quality. Also, I personally miss listening to Red Velvet's melodic and harmonic style music. So RV's music is very high quality. Even though some kpop fans deny it. Even if the song is weird, I think Red Velvet can make the song beautiful and make it catchy with their voices.
