Why is it that songs that take some time to grow on me show amazing longevity in my personal playlist

When I add a song I usually listen to it a lot and then get a bit fed up with yeah. But after a couple of months I'll wanna listen to it again and then I don't wanna have to re-add it.
edit: I have ca 300 songs on my main kpop playlist. Don't think that counts as a lot but I love each and every song. So if I'm bored with one or two of them at the moment it doesn't matter much.

It's because your brain instinctively craves inventiveness, complexity, and creativity. Generic, mid songs might be easily digestible on first listen but your brain tires of them right away. Meanwhile songs that are more complex, unique, that have something different about them retain your brain's attention. People call this kinda music noise music and messy, but your mind cant help but want to listen to them again and again.
SOTY contenders like Next Level, Wadada, Gingamingayo, Love Shh, and Classy all fall into this. Even a song like Feel My Rhythm, which to me is the best RV song ever released.
