We have too many subforums with little activity.

  • Folder camping is when people mostly hang out in one section of the forum and rarely post in other sections.

For this forum, most people folder camp in the K-Pop section.

Hmm thats true. What interesting tho is people lurk but don't comment. What would drive more comments?

Tbh I'm just throwing out my ideas to see what lands. Not everything I say would be feasible but we do need more activity.

  • well artist thread are also usefull for nugu, when you make a thread on main you never have reply and the few people interested in them cant found these thread too.

Eyy true. But artist threads in general get dedicated posting which is good. I dont know about the other sections cuz I don't check them out as much.

  • One remark: the most active subsection, K-POP, is actually the 13th to be listed. It takes a bit of scrolling to find it. But, if you push it to 1st, I'm sure I will stop reading the sidebar.

Great point! Lemme make a petition for this!! Thanks:)

I was thinking we could also expand the side bar for latest posts so more threads get attention. I think that side got smaller actually which can cause threads to get less attention. I have.to keep quoting to keep my threads alive rn

  • Many subforums are dead on arrival. tokyohive and off-topic: no amount of merging can save them. There's simply a lack of interest here. The informative sections, by design, also won't have a lot of traffic.

  • I disagree, I remember begging for comeback threads to be seperate because it's a bitch to find them buried in pages of kpop stuff, as someone who enjoys making comeback threads for my faves, It's much easier for people to go back and see the content, see current content, even if they don't respond to it, it's easier to find all the information in one place, and I will be incredibly upset after begging for comeback threads to have their own section if it gets removed.

Hmm probably not the comeback thread. But the past comebacks and I think there's another thread. Maybe those?

True I know ppl post on Tokyo have but its barely lol.

Same with news. But there are some dedicated users for sure who post in those sections. Would want to stop the from posting eyy.

no past comebacks are so that people can go back and revisit prior comebacks, maybe they missed updates for it etc. they keep everything current for like this month and then move it to the past so that the next month is active. So it may look pointless but for those of us who enjoy that section it's fine.

Eyy ok I see. do check out my other suggestion threads lol. I think expanding the side bar could be a good idea.

Tbh the forums need activity so I'm just throwing out all my thoughts to see what works.

i've read them and i'm neutral i only focus on the kpop, artist threads and comeback section. I don't care for anything else. so i don't see a reason to put my 2 cents in.

this is literally all i look at

Eyy np then. But u check out the side bar right? I wanna see what could get more users to check out threads in the kpop section.

  • the side bar as in recent posts and recent responses? Yes i refresh and check that. otherwise no i don't know what other side bar you're speaking of.

Yep that one. My other proposal is the expand it so more threads get attention. Tbh most users check threads from the side bar, so more space equals more comments and attention imo

I dont know how that may help, it already updates to most recent posts and replies expanding it is just more space idk. It's not something i focus on.

  • As someone who frequently uses the cb section, no don't take it away. I like the organization, and it is a bitch to find threads in the main.

For certain nugu artists, I also prefer to keep the updates in one place anyways rather than create a bunch of threads for each update. I don't think many people would check out these threads anyways. Like, I posted some separate single update threads for P1h's comeback for instance, and I'd usually get 1 response to them. It's easier for me to contain them as opposed to a bigger group which will get tons of replies for each single update. And since I have made a lot comeback threads, I would appreciate them not getting buried in the main.

Other sections, yes I could agree with shelving. A lot of the off-topic sections (besides maybe Asian entertainment and politics) can and do get posted in the lounge IMO.
