Why did StayC lose steam after Asap?

When Asap arrived, Asap and Next Level revived 4th gen girl group digitals. But a year passed, Aespa has gone a long way ahead, new groups like Ive, Lesserafim came in stomping with sales and digitals, while StayC has not had a hit as big since and their sales stay below 200K, lower than Kep1er and Nmixx who have no hits. What’s stopping StayC girls from blowing up further?

No big company, no produce fame, no IT member, scandals, inconsistency with music that small company groups can't afford to have

Stayc is forgotten by gp, they have moved on to newer groups. It is what it is and nothing can be done.

Still doing much better than all the flops on Queendom 2.

They never managed to capitalize on the asap sound yet people keep thinking high of them,sadly their only hit is ASAP and is doing awful in longevity

I think they will be like gfriend, except they did have three consecutive hits in a row. The lack of a big company, it girl or top visual, predebut fans, interesting concept that appeals to a big amount of ifans and less push in general made them fell behind the competition even if they started stronger than big 3 ggs like rv, and the same is happening to stayc already selling less than nmixx and lsrfm. The lack of hype and an it girl will also make them lose to competition from other non-big 3 like gfriend vs mamamoo and oh my girl

Boring group

I pointed them out as being in danger of being left behind months ago. Anyone with eyes coulda seen what was gonna happen in 2022. We already saw poor Loona and Everglow left behind, Itzy on the brink. Stayc started out with so much hype after ASAP but then they got steamrolled by the NL/Savage juggernaut, then got bodied by Eleven, Tomboy, Love Dive and even Fearless.

The good thing is that hope is not lost forever. Gidle rose from the dead this year, Brave Girls did it last year, OMG did it in 2020. There's a chance for Stayc, and even Itzy. It's gonna be a tough and bitter road, the field will only get crowded with Ador coming online, Glassy, Lapillus, etc.

Why are you comparing them to big 4 groups and groups that already had members that had debuted in another group and have an established fandom? Lower sales is the reality for groups that don't meet that criteria.

coming back in a dead month like february gave you a good peak, and run2u peaked at 7, not 5, and its longevity is very bad

I can see that Ive will flopp hard too

run2u is really only in the top 5 for a few hours and staying in the top 10 for a few days. It has no longvitive
