Ive has the digitals, Aespa has the physicals, Gidle is the dark horse.

This has been a disaster of a comeback for Itzy, a real step back. The only chance they have now is for the song to go viral. I can't see it in Korea tbh, not with how they haven't really vibed with Itzy previously, and it's unlikely that Sneakers will do well globally. It's just not that kind of song.

Maybe give it a few more days instead of 1 before putting the nugu tag on 'em?

Where did I say that? They aren't nugu, far from it. But they also aren't in competition for the top at the moment. They are like the Mamamoo/GFriend of 3rd gen or 4Minute/MissA/Fx of 2nd gen. Still successful, but just under the top groups.

Itzy is a true Gfriend/Miss A case. Peaked very early.

Reality is Itzy situation is like the middle child of JYP like Fx was for Sm. Debuted after an top GG and had massive impact with their early songs. But because of their early debut starting 4th gen Era, 3rd gen jyp fans will still prioritize twice, and younger kids will go to Nmixx in the future. Doesn't help Itzy either that Twice has fully renewed, Lia bullying scandal and now as with every kpop company resources will be pushed to the newest thing in this case Nmixx.

Noone denies Itzy dancing ability but the lack of a strong vocal has became more and more apparent with every TT being more of the same. Itzy best bet is for a viral dance move like Ryujin shoulders in wannabe, But sneakers just isn't it. Am sure Itzy will remain popular but I think their window has closed. If JYP gifts Nmixx a good TT with their more diverse\stronger vocals younger JYP fans will go to them I predict.

JYP did Itzy dirty with this release. Makes the rumours that they are prioritizing NMixx seem a little more real.
