I neither soft stan him, not do I particularly hard stan him. To be honest, I just ignore him as a part of NCT visual line most of the time-- outside of SuperM teasers.
In my opinion, he is an exceptional idol. Now, there's nothing wrong with being an axceptional idol and it doesn't mean he has only talent. What is does mean is that he excels at everything in his group. Man, when he executes of NCT's choreo it is more right than wrong, and he noticeably excels in his angles and is often better than the other members. It creates a perfect jointedness between the group and highlights the elegance of their choreo. His strength lies in his stage presence, interaction with the crowd, and facial expression-- which he often forgoes on stage to balance with the choreo.
Moving on the rap, he is certainly the best idol rapper, and I much prefer NCT's songs with the raps. I think they require the raps, and most of the time I loop it. His flow and enunciation is amazing, its nothing but interesting to listen to. Not all kpop raps tend to be this way, but I think his rap skills are great enough to balance for his other strengths.
His voice is nice, though we only hear very little of it. I'm not partial to it, and with great vocalists like Taeil and Doyoung certainly, his vocals still stand out.
Overall, I care for him too much. Don't dislike him, but I think he would be much better with more than 1 year of rest.
