Well, he did say in his lyrics that he's a bit of a manchild, OP. At least the manchild is self-aware!
In all seriousness, though, lots of male idols are stunted emotionally. GD has always been open about his own struggle with this. It's his vice, most likely caused by his presence in the industry at a young age. That life is all he knows. He never got a chance to develop the way people usually do. It's honestly really sad, but that's what idol life does to people. I think it's cool that he's able to express that vulnerability through his music.
On "Palette" with IU:
Hey Jieun, oppa just turned 30
But I’m not
But I’m an adult
Although I’m not there yet
I’m only five years older than you
On "Still Life":
After the rain, instead of sadness comes a happy end
A seven-coloured rainbow slanted like a sneer
Passed the seasons without maturing
I can't mature
Immature and long gone without maturing,
Marchin' Vivaldi Tchaikovsky, greeting the seasons of today
Finally, the four at last
