Since it has more sales than tomboy IF it’s able to maintain its high numbers for some time it’ll be much more likely to win than Gidle. Esp for like MAMA who value the physical album sales even for SOTY.

The only competition will be aespa who have even more sales than Ive so if they have a hit then the competition will be even more fun.

Only MAMA's SOTY accounts for Physical sales. All the others just go off of song performance.

edit: And didn't GDAs recently severely weaken the impact of physical sales for their awards?

There is only Golden Disc awards everything else have their own criteria and more likely to give to more fandom driven or company backed acts. MAMA, Melon and 2nd tier like AAA Fact msuic and whatever. SMA gives for cumulative performance so they can’t win there either.

GDA will give to the best performing song of the year which is currently TOMBOY indeed so unless there comes someone who does even better they’ll likely win it.
