They're currently living as a recipient of basic living expenses (t/n: welfare)
They said that they're having a hard time living

    1. You should think about the other party's feelings and not give it out of one-sided sympathy

    2. Think about it through. The moment you start giving them money, you'll be stuck giving them money until the end.. And the moment you stop giving them money, your relationship will be tarnished

    3. You should give it all in one go, giving 30 bucks per month like that is seriously so so.. I think you're ok giving them the money, but giving them 30/month like it's allowance is not it. You should just give them 300 in one go

    4. You should also think what your friend's perspective on this would be...

    5. Are they opposite sex friends? You're really giving them without any conditions?
    > No we're same sex

    6. You should do it for only 6 months. If you spend too much time paying for them, they'll start seeing this as debt and ask you when you'll send them money again

    7. Stop this🖐!

    8. Giving 30$/month in Korea won't improve your life that drastically though

    9. Without any conditions?

    10. You're really calling this a friend?

let us gather around for the lord’s prayer:

Nævis we love you. You are the one who protected me when i was in trouble. MY victory, one SYNK DIVE. I know your sacrifices. Let’s meet surely after the resurrection.

    Æmen

    :pepe-pray:

  • Giving your friend a monthly allowance even when they’re going through a difficult time is pretty weird. I’m sorry but that’s such a weird situation…

  • I have had friends in hard places like that before

Instead of giving them money, I would have gotten them some groceries to make sure they eat. Like I would have visited them with a cooked chicken, salad tray and a fruit basket.

Or put together a little care package for them for a lift me up. Like their fav chocolate, a lotion, some face masks.
