I honestly doubt the possibility of BTS returning as a group.

  • The BTS paycheck is just too good for them to never get back together. Even if they do extremely well as soloists, they’re never gonna be IFPI’s #1 best selling artist kind of big.

It’s in their own best interest to keep the group’s brand alive, even if they spend most of their time on solo activities.

This new solo era is just the next step in BTS’ transition into a legacy act.

Yep, would be DUMB AS HELL for any of the members to completely break apart from the group. They should be planning little reunion events even as we speak. A vlive on important anniversaries, special performances of their most popular hits, constant social media

I mean look at Izone ffs. Even after their shocking disbandment, the girls have done nothing but hang out together and interact with each other, both publicly and unofficially, and by doing so, they have successfully kept their Wizone fanbase active, engaged and supportive. Every single member has succeeded, whether digitally or physically or with name recognition. And they have done that while belonging to NINE different labels.

BTS hasnt disbanded, they have no excuse to not try and save their fanbase.

  • People thought GOT7 was only doing lip service but look at them now. Even I doubted it because groups with members in different companies always say they'll promoyin the future but never do. It should be easier for BTS members who are in the same company. Plus I doubt they'll pass up on doing some sort of huge comeback tour.

  • I agree even though I'm not even Taehyung biased. Imagine all the acting and endorsements offers that he had to decline over the years because of their OT7 agenda? BTS songs are usually are too high for his vocal tone so he barely got to show off his strength as a baritone/bass. So this opportunity is like god's send to him imo. No wonder he said he has so many things to show as a soloist on the dinner party.

V's audience weren't armys, and I bet he knows it. He wants to show his potential. I see him going out 100% with his solo activities. And he deserves it.

  • Things work differently in kpop, they will return as a group eventually, even Big Bang and SNSD did, so why wouldn't they?

  • Isn't the whole reason they're taking a break is because they've lost the soul and passion for music that they used to have? They've been struggling to write songs that mean something to them, they've just been "forcing" the lyrics out of them.

With Dynamite, Butter, and PMD, I don't think they were even involved much in the creative process. They were songs pretty much written by several Western songwriters. They surrendered much of their artistic involvement to appeal to the West and try to win a grammy.

  • People thought GOT7 was only doing lip service but look at them now. Even I doubted it because groups with members in different companies always say they'll promoyin the future but never do. It was easier for them to make a comeback because they're independent now. They can do whatever they want, bts is still tied to the contract. Some people might get sick of getting bossed around.

  • Well it will save me 22$ in fanclub money

Why pay for a fanclub where you get nothing?

So that’s more lost income for Hybe.

  • They're already millionaires, so money isn't a factor. And some members may want to pursue other stuffs like get married, a peace and quiet life etc..

    .Let's just wait and see.

  • Very few KPop groups ever completely break apart. And it's less likely for boy groups than girl groups. Shinhwa are still technically active. Super Junior are having a comeback. Girls Generation are having a comeback.

They'll definitely be back in some capacity. Their reunion tour will be massive. They won't let themselves miss out on that money, even though it will mean having to perform those 2019- tt's all over again.

  • I was expecting a reply like this. I'm an ot7. But Let's wait and see who comes back and who doesn't , jin and V have lower chances to comeback. You and I both know it but I'm a solo stan for posting it.

The other person is calling you a solo because you claimed Vs audience isn't armys just like solo stans believe. It sounds like you're one of those people who claim the entire fanbase hates him even when he's one of the most popular members. Like who do you think his main audience is??

  • When it's time that all members are done with enlistment, 5 years or more have passed.

A lot can happen in that time.

They might be back in some way, but I don't think like they did the past year: maybe more like Big Bang and SNSD, having a comeback once every 3-5 years with not all members present.

  • Oh they will come back, but not as an active group release songs regularly. But as some anniversary reunion concert, a nostalgia song release kind of things.

  • Bts are more dedicated to group activities than any other k-pop group that came before them. Because bts members have better understanding and a very big bond amongst them. They understand each other more than anyone else. They are taking a break as a group to focus on enlistment and keep ot7 promise alive. They can easily promote as 5 or 6 or in units if they want to bring more money to the bts brand but they won't. Because they understand that all 7 of them are instrumental in making bts what it is today. All 7 will definitely come back one day and promote regularly. Because they have one very big world tour left to do. The biggest world tour ever.

  • The other person is calling you a solo because you claimed Vs audience isn't armys just like solo stans believe. It sounds like you're one of those people who claim the entire fanbase hates him even when he's one of the most popular members. Like who do you think his main audience is??

I was talking about songs, armys prefer upbeat songs the recent performance of ytc is the proof. Rapline songs are always loved, jikook's songs also match audience's taste, euphoria is the most loved solo track. Moon performed really well on melon. But V's most streamed song is an ost, And watch in a couple of months his 2nd most streamed songs will also be an ost. And I never said armys hate him you're making fake narratives, in this fandom y'all have no tolerance.

Why do you guys want me to be anti so bad?

  • bts is huge, successful, once in a generation king. you name it. but yall younger fans are on alot of copium right now. every group is the same, they will disband someday and majority of them cannot last the test of time, and military enlistment. safe yourself the heartache and obsession now, or fix it while theyre in military, else you'll be in for a world of hurt.

they will probably do one or two albums/shows together but dont expect itll be the bts that you all know. probably for anniversary, bdays, special releases or whatever. if it happens, don't go and flip sht on them, just because your whole identity is gone. oppas dont stay young forever, as they mature they will have needs.

    check back after the enlistments.

  • Rapline songs are always loved, jikook's songs also match audience's taste, euphoria is the most loved solo track. Moon performed really well on melon. But V's most streamed song is an ost, And watch in a couple of months his 2nd most streamed songs will also be an ost

Is that why Respect is the least streamed song on MOTS:7? Or every other rap line song has the least streams when we compare?

    You're cherry picking data.

  • I agree they lowkey disbanded

they can't even come with an estimate date which makes me believe if they even do comeback it will be in like 10+ years when jk gets back from the military

but it will only be as a special 20 year reunion special and have this like huge tour kinda like backstreet boys but obviously they won't be a serious group ever again

ARMYs aren't prepared to see them go and are getting really defensive but honestly we all know they won't cb anytime soon so it's not wrong to say that BTS are basically disbanding
