JYPE is so bad with hype

Why did they tease Nayeon’s title track so early?! I hope the other members solos take a different approach.

Whoever runs their marketing department is god awful lmao

I barely even remember that Itzy is coming back as well

I wonder if it’s part of their down-to-earth image to be like, “Hey, look at us, we suck at promotions just like a regular ol’ person!”

Nayeon’s solo would’ve had so much more hype if they waited a couple weeks before dropping teasers

JYPE has always sucked at this but consistently fails to do anything about it.

They never change, hire new creative people, push out older incompetent people, etc so the same problems persist on promotion, song choices and teasers as always and the same crusty people causing those problem stay around.

Only YG are good at generating hype, followed by HYBE.

Their comebacks rarely have hype. Most of these groups only get hype because of their lovely fanbases but their promotional tactics leave a lot to be desired.

Every other company gets a viral moment from the teaser period like a concept photo or mv teaser going viral outside the fandom. Remember how the entire internet went crazy with hylt teasers or the savage teasers for Aespa? Why is it so hard for jyp to do the same.

This long teaser period for Nayeon was such a mistake. Some acts are better off having short two week teaser periods. Even the groups with long preorder periods usually space their teasers in a way that they manage to capitalize on the hype.

The only ones who can actually get away with two months full of teaser content is bts. And with bts fans get whole ass songs and mvs to hype up the coming album.

division 1 is competent though in relation to music content. they promote few b side videos compared to the other divisions, release mixtapes, SKZ have SKZ-player/record with original songs. then again i think they are following the bts marketing route

lol nooo but yeah they shouldn't have spoiled part of the song almost a month before the actual release she actually had a lot of hype at the beginning when we found out that she's going solo but wbk jype sucks. i really hope they don't spoil the chorus in the mv teaser

YG is only good at generating hype for BP because well BP is BP. What about their boy groups? Ikon? Treasure? Winner? Hyping up BI saying he'll be the next GD and look what happened.

Stray Kids is the only group that seems well promoted and hyped by JYP

You're right, they're taking promotion period too long. It would create much better excitement like SM if they posted concept photos every day for the last 2 weeks. I even forget when it will air in this kind of promo. SM has been always best in generating excitement from promo and concept pictures. Jyp is still much better than YG but it needs more work. Also, I think Sm group and solo artist teasers are much more creative and aesthetically different. You'd be a lot more excited if Jyp idols were in SM's hands in their teaser and concept photos. SM marketing management is better but this is only valid for the promotion period. Because Jyp promotions are much more satisfying after the music is released.
