He is actually working on his writing skills. But not for Treasure.
YG wants him to write at least one song for Blackpink's upcoming comeback. The song will 100% become very successful, it's Blackpink we're talking about. That alone would generate a lot of buzz but they will go beyond and mediaplay the shit out the collab. Yedam will now have at least two credits on huge songs (Darari is not BP level but arguably Treasure's biggest song to this date). This should make his popularity among all Treasure members skyrocket. Now Yedam can promote with Treasure again, and when Yedam and Friends come back, it will be big. They might become the second biggest 4th gen boy group, knocking out Enhypen and TXT. Since they're that big, Yedam can continue his solo endeavors too. He could release something very GP friendly. As it gains traction, both he and Treasure will get bigger and bigger until Yedam is very relevant domestically. Now whenever YG wants to give a push to a group, they can just ask Yedam to write something to the song or feature on it and BAAM!!! YG has a cheat key, not the second GDragon as they wanted, but almost as good.
