What will happen if aespa actually leads in spotify?

    I remember people said the same exact thing about their digitals and then their physicals lol and now people are coming for their spotify charting? :pepe-use-head: What happens when that improves, what next :pepe-shrug:

    Even kep1er debut charted longer than aespa whole discography in Spotify

    When did people say this about their physicals? Their first album was one year into their career and after NL who would think they wouldn't sell well?


    Aespa's Spotify numbers are not all that great considering the amount of effort SM has put forth for them internationally - are IVE, ITZY, Lesserafim, etc. also performing at Coachella and Macy's Days and on late night shows? Also for all the bitching and moaning from your fandom about IVE's playlisting and Starship's "tactics" Illusion is also on New Music Friday. With other 4th gen girls doing well internationally and MYs constantly going around saying Aespa is so much better than everyone else, of course people are going to say stuff about Aespa's Spotify performance


    If they do well with Girls, good for them. SM's investment will have paid off. What else is there to say?

    Just wondering how do you find out about playlisting and how many each group have?

    the physical part can always change considering that new girl groups keep breaking each other's records

    they will go back to lip synching and stage presence to try to drag them

    When next level was beating everything any 4th gen group had put out before jyp stans especially midzys were saying aespa could never lead 4th gen because their physicals would never surpass theirs and as a result itzy would always be the leading group and then guess what happened :pepe-hips:

    Trust me, they'll find something. If there's one thing that's consistent in kpop, it's the constantly moving goalposts of success.

    If they lead in Spotify, the worlds will collide. Life as we know it will cease to exist.

    I think aespa will do well. Warner seems to be doing good promo. If they do well antis will say they got a lot of playlisting and Warner did well with all the promo and it would be embarrassing if they didn’t do well. But if it doesn’t do well antis will bring up threads on how aespa is flopping even with all the promo by Warner etc..

    Love Dive was ever on Nee Music Friday but it did went on all the Kpop playlists on release. Meanwhile Illusion went on many Western playlists with millions of likes and including the kpop ones. Look if they pull a TXT and flop on Spotify even with all the playlisting everyone will come for them. If they pull SKZ numbers (30 days+ plus a high debut) then it would be respected but they won’t lead. If they manage to increase their longevity by 50 days to beat Love Dive (impossible unless Girls is loved like Wannabe) then everyone would go back to stage presence, dancing, and lip syncing.
