Great movie. Nice that it was acknowledged. It's a small throwaway line but I doubt the sincerity. It's CW trying to be hip.

Also few of my friends that ain't into kpop and kdrama watched it and they really liked it.

it focuses on social commentary but doesnt go too deep into it

it introduces a lot of interesting characters but they're not developed and explored at all beyond the surface

the dialogue, the editing is far too cartoonish

the actors did a great job for sure

they tried really hard to make a serious movie fun for a general audience

which imo killed the killing blow of the movie

feels like a blow but not hard enough to knock you out

its good movie

no i think movies can do it too

except they tried to do way too many things at once and didnt feel that impactful imo

id rather watch a simple serious plot with incredibly fleshed out characters than a super twisted plot that looks like everything happening was planned and obviously fake

and a lot of unrealistic polish and glitter

that seems to be a given for korean movies

even for one that is apparently showing a poor family barely surviving
