Do you think it's normal for kpop fans to act like toddlers when their idols start dating?

when this day will be in kpop when their own fans won't be sh**ting on idols just because they date?

remember baekhyun and taeyeon? that was a disaster. now v & jennie thanks god aren't getting the same hate and I think fans grew a little bit, but what if the rumor is confirmed? Jennie got so much hate just because v followed her last time and I don't want this to happen again!!!

can we just respect their lives and live them alone? why are some/most fans like this?

Kpop fans see their idols as their virtual girlfriend and boyfriend so its not surprising

It's the company's fault who delude the fans into thinking that idols are their bfs and gfs and even some idols play into this narrative

people saying armys are taking it great because actually apart from armys here, most armys on twt, ig and yt actually don't think the dating rumour is true. If they actually confirm it, then all hell will break lose. Even blinks on other places are in denial and they won't take it too well since most blinks don't like bts because they hate army but yeah trust me if the news is actually confirmed to be true, you will definitely see a lot of nastiness.

it depends on the expectations set by a specific artist between them and their fans…if they start behaving totally against what fans have come to see as the norm, then yeah, there’s going to be blowback. this goes for fan service etc too. when fans feel left out, they get nasty.

the reason J and V isn’t a bigger story is a HUGE proportion of people believe it is fake, and whether it’s fake or not, it’s much better that remains the assumption. The last thing BTS needs right now is another scandal with so many important things on the line.
